CIL 2014 Workshops

Posted on by admin

In anticipation of the start of a new East Coast CIL Three Year Program beginning in the fall of 2014, we are inviting you to attend one of our introductory workshops allowing you to experience the unique qualities of the CIL learning community.

AN ALCHEMICAL JOURNEY: TRANSFORMING OLD LOVE MAPS

Our old love maps are formed in a time long before we have memory or language, while we are still in utero. These maps are written on our body, on our breath, on our nervous system and on the neural pathways of our brain.

It is with our old love maps that we navigate all of our intimate relationships throughout our lives, from our birth to our death.  If our old love maps are formed by early trauma, they will constrict the full measure of our creative living.  Yet, all through the life cycle, the force of our soul waits patiently for the healing and transformation of our old narrow self protective ways of living and loving in order to unfold the fullness of freedom of our true Being.

In our circle, we will integrate theoretical learnings of attachment theory, depth psychology and neuroscience approaches to the plasticity of the brain’s capacity to grow and heal.  There will be opportunity for personal process, meditation, family structures, imaginal journeying, and perhaps journaling and movement.

Under all that CIL offers, there rests the foundation of The Practice of Presence in which we witness one another’s and our own love maps with compassion and loving kindness. It is our hope that we will each leave carrying some small seed of intention to incubate the fruit of new and creative ways of living and loving.
