“Turnings On Our Paths” Graduate Retreat in June 2014

Thursday, June 19th – Sunday, June 22nd 2014

“When it is over, I want to say: all of my life I was a bride married to amazement” – Mary Oliver

CIL is celebrating turning towards 30.

Alexis is celebrating turning towards 70.

Judith is celebrating turning towards 80.

We will use the time, space and support of our Graduate Retreat as an opportunity to contemplate where we each are at this time of life.

What turnings are calling you, either loud or in small whisperings? Where are you turning from and where towards? What are the waves of movement like for you?  Do you ride them with ease, turmoil, fear, joy? All of the above?  What and who is your ground, your refuge? Why are you here in this existence?  What of your essence calls out to be and become realized in this precious life? How do you find space for stillness within, for the presence to be with the dead spaces as well as the alive, and with the deep mystery of your Being? How do you give presence to holding the tensions of the opposites that move within you: the callings of the old to stay and the callings of the new beckoning you to follow your path? How can we each be true to our sacred life and at the same time be true to our connections of relationship? How, at this time of your life, are your work and your relationships impacted by the inner and outer turnings that call you?

Our CIL graduate retreats have been blessings of holding circles in which we can each dive deep to find our gold. We will teach around the themes of transitions and transformations, including some of the neuroscience findings from positive psychology and the psycho spiritual literature on life turnings.   Do join us for the serenity of being together in the beauty of Alexis’s summer gardens.  Who knows, come June, it may be warm enough to swim!

Our group is limited to 20 CIL grads and some by invitation. So, please register ASAP.  Once you have registered, you will receive suggested readings for our time together
