Love Maps: Neuroscience, Attachment and Mindfulness: October 1st

Saturday, October 1st 2011

2:00pm – 5:00pm

Stone Ridge Healing Arts – 3457 Main Street, Stone Ridge, NY 12484

Current neuroscience demonstrates that the first few years of life constitute a crucial period of development for the growth of a child’s social and intellectual brain when the neurons, particularly those of the neo-cortex, develop and connect.   This flowering of development can only take place in the context of human care that is the birthright of each infant.  The primary caregiver, as well as other human relationships, literally co-creates the brain of the developing infant, forming a Love Map of ‘how I feel about myself and how I connect to you’.  This Love Map blesses the baby with a felt sense of how it is to be in this body, to feel real and good and able to connect with both others and with Spirit.  This becomes the tap- root for all future relationships.

Our time in this experiential learning workshop will embrace our need to be with others in enriching embodied and meaningful encounters.  We hope you can come and experience both the content and the contact for yourself.

This workshop is limited to 25 people so please register early.

Cost $50
